Discovery Dunes Golf Club is looking for an experienced and tech-savvy Security Manager to lead our Safety & Security team. This is a key leadership role within an exclusive, upscale community, responsible for overseeing security operations, advanced security systems, and critical communication 24/7.
About the Role
As the Security Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center, managing SOC Operators, security technologies, and emergency response systems. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our members, guests, and employees through proactive leadership, strong operational oversight, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Golf Operations and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations, peak-time readiness, and a consistently elevated experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage SOC operations, staff performance, schedules, and training
- Oversee CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, fire alarms, GPS tracking, and communication systems
- Develop, implement, and enforce SOC policies, SOPs, and best practices
- Analyze security alerts and incidents, making informed, strategic decisions
- Collaborate with IT to ensure information security and data confidentiality
- Manage security fleet operations, including golf carts and radios
- Conduct investigations and prepare clear, factual reports for senior leadership
- Monitor KPIs, security metrics, and operational performance to drive improvements
What Skills & Qualifications Are Required:
- 6+ years of experience in security or law enforcement operations
- 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
- Experience working in a SOC or control center environment
- Strong knowledge of security technologies (Genetec, Milestone, Salto, HID, Motorola, etc.)
- Confident leader with excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
