Job Description – Project Manager (Infrastructure Services)
Work Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Purpose:
The Project Manager (Infrastructure Services) is responsible for the successful delivery of complex IT infrastructure
projects across data centers, networks, security platforms, compute, storage, and infrastructure software.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Delivery:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects including data centers, networks, security, compute, storage, virtualization, database platforms, and infrastructure tools.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Ensure compliance with approved enterprise architecture, infrastructure standards, and security baselines.
- Manage project lifecycle phases from initiation through closure and operational handover
Governance and Stakeholder Management
- Manage stakeholders across infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, applications, facilities, procurement, and vendors.
- Prepare and present materials for governance forums including Architecture Review Boards and Change Advisory Boards.
Vendor and Contract Coordination
- Coordinate vendors, OEMs, and system integrators throughout the project lifecycle
- Support procurement activities including scope definition, SoW review, milestones, and acceptance criteria
Risk, Issue, and Change Management
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Maintain RAID logs and escalate critical issues as required.
Financial and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Track expenditures against approved budgets and report variances
Quality, Security, and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with government IT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and audit standards.
- Ensure infrastructure security controls are implemented asper approved designs.
Reporting and Documentation
- Produce project charters, plans, status reports, dashboards, and closure reports.
- Ensure complete documentation and smooth hand over to operations teams
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in IT project management.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise infrastructure projects (data centers, networks, security, compute, storage).
- Experience in government or semi-government environments is strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure domains and technologies.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and governance-driven environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at a G5 professional level.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- ITIL Foundation or relevant infrastructure/vendor certifications (desirable).
