Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide day-to-day technical support for our internal infrastructure and employees. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Active Directory administration, device configuration, software installation, and Microsoft ecosystem management, ensuring that all systems, user accounts, and devices operate efficiently and securely.
This role requires a proactive individual who can quickly troubleshoot technical issues, support employees with IT-related needs, and maintain the organization’s IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
User & Account Management
- Manage and administer Active Directory including user creation, permissions, group policies, and access control.
- Set up and manage Microsoft 365 accounts, email configurations, and user access.
- Handle password resets, account troubleshooting, and user permission management.
- Maintain proper documentation of users, permissions, and IT assets.
Device Setup & Configuration
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and workstations for new employees.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems.
- Manage device security settings, updates, and system configurations.
- Prepare and maintain company devices according to internal IT policies.
Software & Application Support
- Install, update, and troubleshoot company applications and software tools.
- Manage software licensing and ensure proper installation across company devices.
- Support internal systems and applications used by the organization.
- Assist employees with application-related technical issues.
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first and second-level IT support to employees.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Maintain and monitor system performance and resolve technical problems promptly.
- Support printers, peripherals, and other office IT equipment.
Network & System Support
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting including connectivity, VPN, and local network issues.
- Support system security practices and ensure devices comply with company IT policies.
- Monitor system updates and maintain IT infrastructure stability.
IT Asset & Documentation Management
- Maintain inventory of company IT assets (laptops, accessories, licenses, etc.).
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT perspective.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Support or System Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory administration.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 / Microsoft accounts and services.
- Experience with Windows operating systems, device configuration, and laptop deployment.
- Knowledge of software installation, system troubleshooting, and IT support processes.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and user support skills.
