We are looking for a dedicated IT System Engineer to join our team and take charge of ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems across multiple sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network systems, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to end-users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices.
Network Management:
- Monitor and maintain LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Implement security measures to safeguard network integrity.
- Collaborate on network upgrades and expansions.
System Maintenance:
- Conduct regular system updates and backups.
- Ensure manufacturing-specific software operates effectively.
- Support peripheral devices like printers, scanners, and barcode readers.
Project Management:
- Assist in planning and executing IT projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate with departments to address IT needs.
- Document IT procedures, policies, and best practices.
Training and Support:
- Conduct training on new technologies and systems.
- Provide guidance for IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years of IT support experience, ideally in manufacturing & ecommerce.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Familiarity with manufacturing software (e.g., ERP, MES) and cybersecurity practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel to various manufacturing sites as needed.
- Capability to lift and move IT equipment when required.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on-site at manufacturing facilities.
- Potential for evening or weekend work during upgrades or emergencies.
