Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. This includes managing servers, networks, software, hardware, and providing technical support to users. The IT Administrator will play a key role in maintaining IT security, resolving technical issues, and optimizing system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network & Server Management: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network and server infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, routers, firewalls, and switches.
- System Administration: Administer and monitor IT systems, ensuring they run efficiently and securely. This includes operating systems, email, and software applications.
- User Support: Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Security: Implement and manage security protocols to safeguard the company's data and IT systems, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Data Backup & Recovery: Ensure proper data backup procedures are in place and regularly tested for recovery. Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime.
- Software Updates: Install and configure software updates, patches, and new releases across the organization’s IT systems.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring licenses are current and compliant.
- Documentation: Create and update documentation for IT policies, procedures, and network configurations.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors for the procurement, maintenance, and servicing of IT equipment and services.
- IT Strategy Support: Assist in the development and execution of the organization's IT strategy, including capacity planning and technology roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in IT administration, network management, or a similar role.
- Valid UAE Driving License preferred
- Technical Skills:-
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with server virtualization.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and Office 365.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
