Information Security Analyst

About the Role
We’re hiring an Information Security Analyst to join a growing security operations team at the heart of a pioneering fintech business developing a cutting-edge digital trading platform. This is a hands-on role focused on threat detection, incident response, and continuous testing of our security posture.
Working under the direction of the SOC/NOC Manager and closely with the CISO, you’ll help protect our infrastructure, applications, and data from ever-evolving cyber threats while ensuring we maintain high levels of resilience and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM and endpoint tools, investigate anomalies, and triage incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis and produce detailed incident reports and post-mortems.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate periodic penetration testing exercises.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering to address security findings and implement fixes.
- Maintain and improve playbooks, escalation procedures, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Assist in phishing simulations, awareness training, and internal audit support.
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack techniques, and tools in the security landscape.
- Contribute to compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, local regulations).
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a security operations, incident response, or information security role.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using SIEMs, EDR tools, and vulnerability scanners.
- Working knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
- Experience conducting or supporting penetration testing engagements and red/blue team exercises.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially in incident reporting.
- Industry certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, or similar are an advantage.
