Job Title: Risk Officer
Position Overview:
Apricot Capital DIFC Limited is seeking an experienced and proactive Risk Officer to join our team. This role is essential for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization, ensuring compliance with DFSA regulations and safeguarding the company's assets. The Risk Officer will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
● Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks, including operational, financial, and compliance risks.
● Monitor and analyze risk exposures, providing regular reports to management.
● Ensure compliance with DFSA regulations and internal risk management policies.
● Develop and maintain risk registers and risk reporting systems.
● Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and control measures.
● Conduct regular reviews of risk management processes and procedures.
● Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
● Assist in the development and delivery of risk management training.
● Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
● Proven experience in a risk management role within the financial services industry, preferably within a DFSA regulated environment.
● Knowledge of prudential requirements, preferably from DFSA’s PIB Rulebook.
● Strong understanding of DFSA regulations and risk management principles.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Fluency in written and spoken English.
● Knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset.
