Section I: Job Purpose
The role holder will manage ICT infrastructure, ensuring robust physical and network security and will oversee the stability and efficiency of in-house systems supporting core functions, leveraging expertise in IoT, access control, building automation, and CCTV systems within ARM Holding. This role will support continuous improvements and modifications to the infrastructure while maximizing the impact of IT system investments through exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Section II: Key Responsibilities
Design and Development of IoT Solutions
Lead the design and implementation of IoT solutions for the real estate sector, focusing on smart buildings, environmental monitoring, energy efficiency, security, and tenant automation.
Integrate IoT devices with existing infrastructure, using sensors, connectivity, and cloud platforms to enhance building operations and tenant experiences.
Monitor IoT network performance and troubleshooting any issues related to system integration or device connectivity.
Manage and configure controller, gateways, online hub, readers, Intercom, ANPR.
IT Infrastructure:
Proficiency in managing and configuring enterprise-wide Wi-Fi, LANs, WANs, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN etc.
Knowledge and experience in Datacenter management, Windows client-server operating systems (IOS, Windows), cloud-based Exchange, Unified communication suites, Virtualization, TCP/IP protocol stack, Data bases, network design, firewalls, Active Directory, Group Policy, MFA, encryption technologies, certificate services, system monitoring, and management.
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as Office 365, AWS and Azure
Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., Manage Engine, ServiceNow).
Strong Knowledge of fibre and copper cables.
System Integration and Deployment
- Oversee end-to-end deployment of IoT devices across properties, ensuring smooth integration with existing building management systems (BMS), Existing ARM applications (i.e. Salesforce, Office 365, Mobile Apps) and continuous data monitoring.
- Ensure reliable device connectivity and real-time data flow for actionable insights and system optimization.
- Ensure seamless integration of IoT, security systems, and property management platforms for cohesive and efficient ICT infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure and cloud-based platforms supporting integrated security and IoT systems.
- Provide regular reports on system health, performance, and potential security risks to management
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Collect and analyze IoT device data to generate insights that optimize property management decisions, such as energy use, HVAC, lighting, and utility management.
- Use data-driven strategies to reduce costs, improve sustainability, and enhance property performance.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Regularly assess the health and performance of IoT systems, ensuring they meet operational, security, and compliance standards.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to IoT networks and devices to minimize downtime.
Security and Compliance
- Implement security measures for IoT systems, including encryption and secure device authentication, to protect property and tenant data.
- Ensure systems adhere to industry regulations, data privacy laws, and security standards, including GDPR ISO/IEC 27001 and CIS controls framework.
Collaboration and Support
- Work with property management, engineering, and IT to deliver IoT solutions that align with business goals and improve tenant experiences.
- Provide training and ongoing technical support to non-technical teams to ensure the effective use and maintenance of IoT systems.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on the latest IoT technologies and trends to propose innovative solutions that improve building operations and tenant engagement.
- Continuously enhance the performance, scalability, and efficiency of IoT solutions across properties.
Physical Security and Access Control
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of secure entry systems (keycard, biometric, virtual cards) across properties.
- Integrate and manage physical security systems such as intrusion detection, smart locks, intercom, and parking management.
- Ensure compliance with local and international security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR) for all security-related systems.
CCTV and Surveillance Systems
- Manage and optimize CCTV networks with AI-powered video analytics for real-time surveillance and anomaly detection.
- Ensure proper storage, retention, and privacy compliance of video data.
- Regularly review and upgrade CCTV placements and system configurations for optimal coverage and security as per market standards and best practices
Technology Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration of IoT, security systems, and property management platforms for cohesive and efficient ICT infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure and cloud-based platforms supporting integrated security and IoT systems.
- Provide regular reports on system health, performance, and potential security risks to management.
Compliance and Certifications
- Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, including data protection, security standards, and industry certifications like ISO 27001, CIS, NIst etc.
- Oversee audits and inspections of ICT and security systems, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Project Management:
- Lead ICT and security projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting milestones.
- Coordinate with project teams to oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IoT, network, and security systems.
Section III: Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Networking (CCNA), IoT, Smart City and Smart Home Technologies (e.g., KNX, Z-Wave, OSDP, Wiegand).
- Project Management certification
Experience:
- 8+ years of proven experience in managing ICT infrastructure, with a strong focus on IoT, Access Control Systems, CCTV, and Physical Security.
- Previous experience in smart building technologies and the Real estate industry is a strong advantage.
- Expertise in networking, server management, cloud solutions, and security technologies.
- Familiarity with smart city infrastructure, including intelligent transportation, Parking Management, Visitor Management, energy management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Familiarity with the integration of building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of access control technologies, including Wiegand, OSDP, KNX, and Mifare protocols.
- Have Knowledge of ISO 27001 or ISO 9001 or GDPR.
- Relevant Access Control certifications (e.g., Nedap, Stid, HID Global, LenelS2, Honeywell).
- Relevant CCTV/Surveillance Systems certifications (e.g., Hik vision, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis).
- Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs.
- Proficiency in managing cloud platforms, data storage solutions, and IoT protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Z-Wave, MQTT, etc.).
- Experience with video analytics and AI-driven surveillance systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and vendors.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and efficiently handling a high workload.
