1. JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of an IT Infrastructure Lead is to oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and efficiency. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems, servers, and data storage solutions. The IT Infrastructure Lead is also responsible for disaster recovery planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to prevent and resolve IT issues. They work closely with other IT units/teams and business units/teams to support operational needs and strategic initiatives, ensuring that the infrastructure aligns with the organization's goals and compliance requirements.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Network and Systems Management
Manage the operation and maintenance of network systems, servers, and data storage solutions to ensure high availability and performance, collaborating closely with Group Head of IT and senior IT staff on critical decisions.
Infrastructure Planning and Design
Lead the design and planning of IT infrastructure solutions with input from senior IT management to align with organizational goals and future growth.
Security Management
Oversee the implementation of security measures and collaborate with Manager – Information Security & Governance to monitor and enhance protection of data and systems.
Disaster Recovery and Backup
Manage the implementation and testing of disaster recovery plans and backup procedures in line with guidelines provided by Group Head of IT and/or Manager – Information Security & Governance.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor infrastructure performance and make adjustments or improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery and support for IT infrastructure projects.
3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Minimum Qualifications:

Licensure/Professional Membership)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Microsoft Azure certification is required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in managing and administering network systems, servers, and data storage solutions, including hands-on expertise with Windows and Linux environments, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Candidate/incumbent should also have a strong background in cybersecurity, including firewall configuration and vulnerability assessments, as well as experience in project management using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
At least 1 year of leadership experience, including team management, performance management, and vendor relationship management, with proficiency in scripting for automation and knowledge of compliance standards, to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.

- Knowledge and proficiency in Storage and Server Management.
Database Management:
- Familiarity with database systems and management (SQL, NoSQL).
Cloud Computing:
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Knowledge of cloud services and virtualization technologies (AWS, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V).
Data Backup and Recovery:
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
IT / Data Privacy Compliance and Standards:
- Awareness of industry standards and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).
IT Monitoring Tools:
- Proficiency with IT infrastructure monitoring and management tools (Nagios, SolarWinds).
