Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Information Technology at GreatMynds in Dubai. The role involves overseeing IT operations, developing IT strategies, managing infrastructure, and ensuring efficient IT management on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications
- Information Technology, IT Strategy, and Infrastructure management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees
- Experience in IT Operations and IT Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
IT Strategy Development & Execution:
Define and implement the IT strategy, aligning technology solutions with the company’s business objectives in Asset Management, Private Equity, and Commodity Trading.
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, including network, server management, data storage, and cloud services to ensure stability, security, and scalability.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the company’s data and systems from internal and external threats. Monitor IT risks and ensure robust disaster recovery plans are in place.
Digital Transformation:
Lead the company’s digital transformation initiatives, integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI, blockchain, data analytics, and cloud solutions to optimize business processes and decision-making.
System Integration & Automation:
Oversee the integration of IT systems across different business functions (Asset Management, Private Equity, and Commodity Trading), ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
Software Development & Implementation:
Manage the development and implementation of in-house or third-party software solutions, ensuring they meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and performance standards.
Data Management & Analytics:
Lead efforts to establish data management strategies, including data governance, storage, and analytics, ensuring that business units have access to actionable insights.
Vendor & Partner Management:
Build and manage relationships with external IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of IT services.
IT Budgeting & Cost Management:
Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing technology spending while ensuring the IT department is adequately resourced to meet business demands.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all IT operations comply with industry regulations, data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), and relevant standards such as ISO and ITIL.
IT Support & Service Delivery:
Oversee IT service delivery and support, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and maintaining a high level of service to all departments.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
Work closely with other departments, such as Asset Management, Private Equity, and Operations, to ensure that IT solutions support business processes effectively.
Experience:
10–15 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record in managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects.
