Job Purpose
The Security Associate is an entry level who supports the security team in implementing low-level designs related to native cloud security controls and third parties’ security services. This position is essential for someone looking to expand their skills in cloud security, and it requires a good understanding of security best practices, network protocols, and cloud platforms.
Job Description
Security
- Support the security team in understanding the clients' cloud security needs. This involves participating in meetings and documenting client requirements.
- Support in the design and implementation of security solutions in the clients' cloud environment. This includes configuring security tools, setting up NG firewall and WAF technologies.
- Assist in ensuring that the clients' cloud environments comply with relevant industry security standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud security systems, standards, and products. This includes participating in training, webinars, and obtaining relevant certifications.
- Support security-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This may also involve coordinating with other teams and stakeholders.
Compliance
- Comply with any filing requirements imposed by local governing authorities.
- Comply with all tax reporting and payment requirements.
- Comply with the group guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective internal controls and risk management strategies.
- Comply with the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 27001 requirements and actively participate in regular training and audits to ensure continuous alignment with the standard.

Job Specification
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, network & security, computer engineering, Information Technology, or any related field
Professional Certifications
- Cloud or security vendor certificates (preferred)
Knowledge
- Fair knowledge in cloud networking across any of the three major CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Core security concepts such as legacy and next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, vulnerability management, behaviour-based security, NDR, XDR, EDR, encryption at rest an in transit, network segmentation, SSL offloading, bots and bot management.
