We are currently recruiting for a Security Manager (Arabic Speaker) on behalf of our client, to be based in their Abu Dhabi office.
Purpose-
The Security Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and day-to-day management of all security operations, with a strong emphasis on patient dignity, de-escalation, and compliance with local regulations.
Responsibility-
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve hospital-wide security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors, and assets, with special consideration for mental health and addiction care settings.
- Oversee access control systems, CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and perimeter security.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability audits.
- Lead response to security incidents, emergencies, and critical events.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, civil defense, and emergency services when required.
- Prepare incident reports and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions.
- Recruit, manage, and supervise security staff, including outsourced security personnel if applicable.
- Ensure security staff are trained in de-escalation techniques, mental health awareness, patient rights, and confidentiality.
- Conduct regular drills, simulations, and refresher training sessions.
- Manage duty rosters, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws, local authority regulations (DOH, DHA, MOHAP as applicable), and hospital accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, CARF where applicable).
- Support audits, inspections, and accreditation processes related to safety and security.
- Work closely with hospital administration, clinical leadership, facilities, IT, and HR teams.
- Coordinate with Facilities and IT for security infrastructure planning and upgrades.
- Act as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all security-related matters.
- Prepare and manage the security department budget.
- Oversee contracts and performance of security service providers and vendors.
- Recommend cost-effective security solutions without compromising safety.
Skills-
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive security experience, with at least 4–5 years in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Mandatory local UAE experience in hospital or regulated healthcare settings.
- Prior experience working with UAE authorities (Police, Civil Defense, DOH/DHA/MOHAP).
- Valid SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Agency – Abu Dhabi) certification; preferred.
