Description
On behalf of a partner, we are seeking an experienced Airport Security Manager to oversee aviation security operations at an international airport on the West Coast of Africa. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with ICAO standards, national regulations, and the applicable Aviation Security Program, while maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient airport environment.
Job Title: Airport Security Manager (AVSEC)
Location: West Coast of Africa
Contract: Mid/Long-term expatriate assignment
Mandatory : AVSEC PM
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement aviation security requirements to ensure effective security controls across the airport
- Administer, monitor, and report on all AVSEC related activities
- Maintain and continuously improve aviation security standards to support safe airport operations
- Ensure strict adherence to AVSEC Standard Operating Procedures and the Aviation Security Program
- Provide security advice, recommendations, and operational support to senior management
- Develop, review, and enhance aviation security programs and procedures
- Advise management on security policies in line with institutional, national, and state regulations
- Identify opportunities to improve security processes and practices, and recommend corrective actions
- Guide the preparation and dissemination of security related communications to management and AVSEC staff
- Ensure full compliance with reporting requirements of relevant authorities and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the aviation security field
- ICAO Aviation Security Professional Manager (AVSEC PM) certification is mandatory
- Knowledge of ICAO Annex 17 and international aviation security standards
- Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills
