Information Security Manager

Our client, a semi-government entity, is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead and strengthen its information security operations.
This role is suited to a hands-on security professional with strong governance, risk, and compliance experience who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and driving security best practices across an organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and oversee day-to-day information security operations, ensuring policies, standards, and controls are effectively implemented and maintained
- Conduct organisation-wide risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and security reviews, producing clear recommendations for management
- Monitor systems, networks, and applications for vulnerabilities, threats, and security incidents
- Lead incident response activities, investigations, reporting, and remediation
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, legal, and industry security standards
- Coordinate internal audits and compliance reviews, tracking and closing identified gaps
- Act as the primary point of contact for information security matters, including engagement with auditors and regulators
- Deliver security awareness and training initiatives to promote a strong security culture
- Support security strategy alignment with broader business objectives
- Manage, mentor, and develop team members where applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Recognised security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent
- Proven experience in information security governance, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience operating within complex or regulated environments
