About Our Client
Our client is a forward-thinking organization committed to excellence in cybersecurity and risk management. As they continue to grow, they seek a VP Information Security who can drive cybersecurity transformation, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement best-in-class security frameworks to protect critical digital assets.
Experience and Competencies Requirements:
- 7-8 years of experience in IT security, with at least 3 years in information security, risk, and governance.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, including network security, encryption, intrusion detection, and penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of security risk assessment, vulnerability management, and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with national cybersecurity regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards.
- Experience with cybersecurity defense tools, business continuity planning, and cloud security solutions.
- Ability to drive security initiatives, manage incidents, and collaborate across functions.
Functional Description:
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks to protect digital assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring robust security measures for business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Lead incident response and vulnerability management, implementing best practices for threat detection, investigation, and remediation.
- Oversee network security architecture, including access control, encryption, intrusion detection, and penetration testing methodologies.
- Establish cybersecurity governance by aligning security strategies with business objectives and ensuring compliance with laws and industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to manage security risks and enforce data privacy and protection measures.
- Evaluate and implement emerging cybersecurity technologies to enhance the organization’s defense against cyber threats.
- Drive awareness and training programs to promote a strong cybersecurity culture across the organization.
