Overview of the role:
Disrupt Labs is the internal venture building arm of Disrupt.com - we focus on ideating, testing and launching new ventures around transformative technologies with a strong founding team to lead these ventures to scale. Our unique value proposition includes strategic guidance, rapid prototyping, product development, hands-on operational/build expertise, teams, financial support and a network of industry experts, providing startups with the resources necessary to achieve success.
As CEO/Co-Founder, you will play a pivotal role in leading the build for the product including shaping our vision and driving the overall strategy of the business. What you will be expected to perform:
Vision & Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear and compelling vision for the company. Identify emerging market trends and opportunities, and create actionable plans to capitalize on them.
Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of diverse talent. Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative culture that fosters innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Business Development: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships that align with our business goals. Oversee negotiations and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts, including developing pitch materials, presenting to potential investors, and managing ongoing relationships with stakeholders.
Product Development: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch. Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment with market needs and customer feedback.
Financial Management: Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Monitor financial performance to ensure sustainability while pursuing growth opportunities.
Marketing & Sales: Create and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. Build a strong brand presence that resonates with our target audience.
Community Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, enhancing brand awareness and credibility through relationship building.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven Experience: Success as a founder or in a senior leadership role within a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business development, finance, and operational management.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage diverse teams and foster a positive workplace culture.
Communication Skills: Exceptional abilities in communication and negotiation; comfortable presenting to investors and stakeholders.
