Job Summary
The IT Manager will oversee the IT department, ensuring that technology systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and aligned with the organization's objectives. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, maintaining system efficiency, and implementing technology strategies that support the company's business goals.
Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support for career development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and manage staff scheduling.
- IT Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement IT strategies to meet the company's needs and goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Assess and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the management of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of IT systems.
- Manage and optimize IT budgets, including procurement and vendor relationships.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Project Management:
- Lead IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems or upgrades.
- Support and Maintenance:
- Oversee IT support operations to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Manage disaster recovery planning and ensure backup systems are in place.
Qualifications - Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.
- Experience with IT budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of network and server management.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and enterprise software systems.
