📌 Reporting Line: Director of Legal & Regulatory
Ankabut is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Manager to lead the operational implementation and continuous enhancement of the organization’s information security framework. The successful candidate will ensure that security policies, controls, and processes are effectively implemented, aligned with regulatory requirements, and consistent with industry best practices. This role will play a pivotal part in safeguarding Ankabut’s information assets and maintaining a strong security posture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory obligations and leading industry practices.
- Conduct enterprise-wide information security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing, and provide actionable recommendations and management reporting.
- Monitor networks, systems, applications, and data to detect vulnerabilities, threats, and security incidents; ensure timely mitigation and response.
- Manage security incident response processes, including investigation, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Oversee security audits, compliance reviews, and internal assessments; ensure remediation of identified gaps and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for information security, privacy, and copyright-related incidents, coordinating with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Drive the implementation of security architectures, controls, and technologies to address emerging threats and enhance security posture.
- Lead information security awareness and training programs to strengthen organizational security culture.
- Supervise the deployment, modernization, and continuous support of security systems, tools, and technologies.
- Support the development and monitoring of the IT/security budget to ensure alignment with planned expenditures.
- Ensure adherence to Ankabut’s policies and procedures and report any breaches or security risks promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security initiatives and ensure effective integration across the organization.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving threat landscapes, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and Department Head.
Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage the performance of the information security team through regular evaluations, coaching, and development.
- Support talent development and nationalization initiatives to build internal capability and ensure continuous professional growth.
- Contribute to departmental budgeting, ensuring adequate resources to support security operations and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent are required.
Experience
- UAE Nationals: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in information security.
- Expatriates: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in information security.
- Demonstrated experience in security governance, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
