Duties & Responsibilities
· Undertake the functions of Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Contact for a range of firms.
· Provide consultancy services and advice to Trifecta clients.
· Manage data protection frameworks across a portfolio of clients. Such work includes, but is not limited to:
o Ensuring and maintaining compliance with all legislation and applicable regulations of a client’s jurisdiction;
o Identifying, managing, and mitigating regulatory risk by conducting periodic review and monitoring programmes;
o Provision of training on data protection and security, and other topics;
o Presenting management information and reports to senior management and governing bodies of clients;
o Supporting the compliance consultancy team with review and approval of clients, ensuring KYC and CDD is conducted in accordance with the relevant framework(s);
o Regulatory reporting to the regulator, and completion of any federal level reports.
· Providing data protection training to other employees of Trifecta.
· Undertake regulatory horizon scanning and analyses, identifying the impact of regulatory changes across a portfolio of clients and Trifecta.
· Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to other employees of Trifecta.
· Completion of weekly and monthly timesheets to ensure accurate and efficient charging to Trifecta clients.

Education
· An internationally recognised professional qualification in the relevant field.
· A strong academic background, including a degree in a relevant field, including but not limited to Law/Economics/Finance, or equivalent thereof.
Experience
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services in a compliance, data protection/privacy, or financial crime role, or at a financial services regulator.
· The individual should have a solid understanding of data protection and privacy frameworks (including international standards such as GDPR), compliance, financial crime, and risk management. They should be able to act in an independent and confident manner to design, implement, and oversee data protection policies, and embed a strong compliance and data privacy culture across the Trifecta group.
