We are seeking an experienced IT Director/Manager with a proven track record in healthcare technology operations for our client, which is a leading Abu Dhabi–based conglomerate with 60+ companies and over 20,000 employees across diverse industries. The ideal candidate will have experience working within healthcare service providers, with strong knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) standards, requirements, and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals, with a strong focus on healthcare service delivery.
- Manage IT infrastructure, networks, EMR/EHR systems, and other healthcare technology solutions.
- Ensure compliance with DOH, DHA, and UAE healthcare regulatory requirements including data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital health standards.
- Oversee integration of clinical systems, hospital management systems (HMS), PACS/RIS, and other healthcare applications.
- Lead IT governance, risk management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships with a focus on cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with medical, administrative, and operational teams to enhance patient experience through technology.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives such as telemedicine, patient portals, and AI-based healthcare solutions.
- Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and security of sensitive health information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of DOH and DHA regulations, standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven expertise in healthcare IT systems (EMR/EHR, HIS, LIS, PACS, RIS, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in IT governance, cybersecurity, and data protection in healthcare.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience in digital health, cloud solutions, and emerging healthcare technologies is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (DOH, DHA, HIPAA, HL7) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in ITIL, PMP, or healthcare IT standards (e.g., HL7, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with AI, big data, and analytics in healthcare.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
