The IT In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and security systems. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing IT resources, and implementing new technology solutions to enhance business operations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & System Management:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and networks.
- Ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of IT resources.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Network & Security Management
- Maintain and secure the organization's IT networks, firewalls, and data protection measures.
- Implement cybersecurity policies to protect against data breaches and malware threats.
- Regularly update and patch systems to maintain security compliance.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical assistance to employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Manage helpdesk requests and resolve IT-related concerns promptly.
- Maintain an updated log of IT support tickets and resolutions.
Software & Database Administration
- Ensure smooth operation of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, and cloud-based solutions.
- Perform regular backups, data recovery, and software updates.
- Work with vendors to implement and maintain business-critical applications.
IT Asset & Vendor Management
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including laptops, servers, and accessories.
- Coordinate with IT suppliers for procurement, repairs, and software licensing.
- Negotiate contracts with IT service providers and ensure cost-effective solutions.
Compliance & IT Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws.
- Develop and enforce IT usage policies within the organization.
- Conduct IT security awareness training for employees.
Technology Upgrades & Innovation
- Identify new technologies to improve operational efficiency and security.
- Lead IT projects, such as system upgrades and cloud migration.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT support or administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, and database management is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
