Position: L3 Network/System Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network Engineer with extensive multi-vendor experience to join our growing team. As an L3 Network Engineer, you will play a key role to establish, maintain and optimize our client's complex network infrastructure. You will work with a range of networking equipment from multiple vendors, ensuring network performance, security, and reliability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Design, configure, and implement complex multi-vendor network infrastructures.
· Collaborate with engineering teams to define network requirements and create scalable network solutions.
· Lead network architecture reviews and recommend improvements based on evolving business needs.
· Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
· Provide expert-level support for complex routing, switching, WLAN and firewall-related issues.
· Work with vendors to escalate and resolve issues as necessary.
· Manage and optimize networks built on a mix of Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Huawei, and other leading vendors.
· Maintain and ensure compatibility of multi-vendor devices and configurations.
· Stay up to date with the latest developments in networking technology across multiple vendors.
· Monitor network performance to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
· Implement and optimize routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switch configurations.
· Proactively identify and mitigate network performance bottlenecks.
· Implement security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
· Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure network security is maintained.
· Maintain detailed network documentation, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
· Create and update network topology diagrams.
· Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., Systems, Security, and Cloud teams) to ensure seamless integration of network components.
· Provide mentoring and support to L1 and L2 engineers.
· Liaise with vendors to resolve issues and stay informed of product updates and patches.
· Manage software upgrades and patches for network devices across different vendors.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven experience as an L3 Network Engineer, with a strong focus on multi-vendor environments.
· In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.).
· Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei, etc.).
· Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and Layer 2/3 switching.
· Experience with SDN (Software-Defined Networking), SD-WAN,MPLS, VPN, and QoS.
· Proficiency in network security (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, etc.).
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent vendor certifications are highly desirable.
· VMware and Microsoft software knowledge is highly desirable.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is mandatory.
· Minimum of 5 years L3 cross vendor Experience with automation knowledge.
· Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, HP Nmmi, etc.).
