Job Title: Head of IT

Salary: AED 40,000/45,000 PM
Job Description:
We have partnered with a fintech company that is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Head of IT to lead and manage their IT infrastructure and team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, with at least 10 years of managerial experience and 15 years overall in the IT field. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive our IT strategy, improve systems, and ensure robust cybersecurity practices in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead a small team of IT professionals, providing clear direction, fostering a collaborative work environment, and ensuring the team’s success in achieving IT goals.
- IT Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy, aligning with the company’s broader business objectives. Create and manage a strategic roadmap for IT, with a strong focus on cloud migration, cost efficiency, and long-term IT infrastructure improvements.
- Cybersecurity: Oversee and enforce cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards. Implement cybersecurity best practices, manage phishing prevention, vulnerability assessments, and ensure a secure network environment.
- Budget Management: Oversee IT budgets, including project-specific budgets, ongoing budgeting, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage IT hardware stocks.
- Cloud & Integration: Lead cloud migration efforts and integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and ongoing optimization of cloud-based systems (Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, etc.).
- Systems & Tools Management: Manage and support a variety of IT systems and tools, including Office 365, Active Directory, VMware, Windows, Linux, SonicWall, CCTV, and biometrics systems.
- Audits & Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular IT audits to assess current systems and identify areas for improvement. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure the company’s IT infrastructure is continuously evolving to meet future needs.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Stay in touch with vendors, manage relationships, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and efficient service delivery.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide the IT team, ensuring ongoing professional development and effective troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
