Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pre-Sales Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our sales, product, and technical teams to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process. You will play a critical role in understanding customer needs, presenting tailored cybersecurity solutions, and ensuring successful client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical expert on cybersecurity products and services, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design tailored cybersecurity solutions that meet their specific needs. This includes conducting technical assessments, creating solution architectures, and providing product demonstrations.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with potential customers to understand their cybersecurity challenges, answer technical questions, and provide guidance on the best solutions. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT managers, and security professionals.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the development of proposals, including technical documentation, pricing, and solution presentations. Ensure that all technical aspects of proposals are accurate, compelling, and aligned with customer needs.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Management: Lead and manage PoCs, working closely with customers to ensure that the proposed solutions meet their requirements. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during the PoC phase.
- Training & Enablement: Provide training and enablement sessions to internal teams, partners, and customers on cybersecurity solutions, product features, and best practices.
- Market Insight: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the cybersecurity industry, including emerging threats, compliance requirements, and competitive offerings. Share insights with the broader team to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to provide feedback on customer needs, product features, and competitive positioning. Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical consulting role, with a focus on cybersecurity solutions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, SIEM, encryption, and network security.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a strong customer-centric approach.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales activities.
