We are currently recruiting for a Chief Corporate Security Officer for our client to be based out of their Abu Dhabi Office.
Purpose-
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for overseeing the security operations. This leadership role involves developing and implementing security policies, managing security staff, and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The CSO will collaborate with other departments to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations while promoting a culture of safety and security.
Responsibility-
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies tailored to the specific needs of the institution.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend measures to mitigate risks.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of security personnel, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle various security scenarios.
- Foster a professional and supportive work environment that encourages high performance and collaboration.
- Manage all external parties such as VIP security teams, CID and Police.
- Regular spot checks on all security staff members to be conducted to ensure a safe environment.
- Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to protect patients, staff, and facilities.
- Regularly review and update policies based on regulatory changes and emerging security threats.
- Draft a set of SOP’s highlighting all touch points within the complex
- Lead the response to security incidents, including evaluating threat assessments and coordinating emergency response measures.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches, incidents, or suspicious activities and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Work closely with clinical staff to understand the unique security challenges associated with substance abuse and mental health treatment.
- Provide training to staff on security awareness, de-escalation techniques, and emergency procedures.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies such as surveillance systems, access control, and alarm systems.
- Evaluate and adapt security systems to improve the institution's overall safety posture.
- Do a deep dive analysis of the current security systems and provide recommendations (if any) that will enhance the properties security performance for the present and future use
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to security practices in healthcare settings.
- Prepare and present security reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Compliance and reporting as per the companies policies and corporate governance
- Develop and manage the security budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high security standards.
Skills-
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in security management, preferably in healthcare or similar environments.
- Proven experience managing a team of security professionals.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to security in healthcare settings.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
- Crisis management and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with security technology and systems.
- Certification such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar is a plus.
- Experience working with 03rd party providers.
