On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director – Security Operations Center to join the resort’s Security team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Create workforce and equipment schedules that optimize performance and resource allocation.
- Conduct benchmark studies to identify / adopt best practices for operational units under mandate.
- Deliver comprehensive roadmaps for enhancements in security technologies and processes.
- Lead and continually advance SOC strategy to safeguard personnel, assets, and infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of all security systems and their integration.
- Program and optimize each security system for maximum efficiency.
- Evaluate automation and platform requirements, prioritizing improvements with the SOC team.
- Conduct threat modelling and develop targeted use cases for security monitoring.
- Ensure security systems operate correctly or are maintained in accordance with service level agreements.
- Direct staff in proactively identifying, preventing, and addressing security incidents.
- Oversee daily SOC operations, including monitoring, detection, analysis, and incident response.
- Ensure the efficacy of security technologies and strict adherence to all SOC protocols.
- Provide guidance and expertise during incident responses and complex problem-solving scenarios.
- Drive continuous process improvement to achieve operational objectives and reduce threat exposure.
- Regularly review and enhance security processes for peak performance.
- Oversee emergency response protocols, serving as Incident Commander when required.
- Lead cross-functional incident communication and coordination efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen overall security posture.
- Develop and monitor key operational metrics to evaluate SOC effectiveness.
- Prepare and present SOC performance data and emerging threats to executive leadership.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics for SOC operations and client communications.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in security, information security or cyber security.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner
- Genetec-Specific Training
- Minimum 10 years’ leadership experience in Security, Crisis Management, or Cyber Security
- Minimum 8 years’ leadership experience in Security Operations Center
- Minimum 5 years’ Security Operations Center experience in a Maximum-Security Environment
- Minimum 2 years' experience working on Genetec and Mission Control
