Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Engineer to join our team, based in our offices in Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT support operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all hardware, software, and network systems across the company. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a secure, reliable IT environment and providing timely technical support to internal users.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. A background in managing IT systems within fast-paced industries (e.g., events) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first- and second-line support for all IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control across systems and platforms.
• Monitor system health, apply updates/patches, and ensure regular backups are executed.
• Maintain and update IT documentation, asset inventories, and support logs.
• Implement and monitor endpoint security and antivirus systems.
• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring seamless IT handovers.
• Ensure all IT equipment and software are compliant with internal standards and policies.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for technical support and procurement.
• Identify and propose improvements to IT processes and infrastructure.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT support or systems administration role, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Active Directory).
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN setup.
• Experience supporting users in a hybrid or multi-site work environment.
• Comfortable troubleshooting hardware, software, and printer issues across different platforms.
• Familiarity with security protocols, backups, and data protection standards.
