BridgeWay is currently seeking a dedicated Network Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in providing technical support and expertise to our clients, end-users, and staff, ensuring robust and reliable network performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with administration and operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to company policies and procedures
- Coordinating and implementing network configuration and hardware upgrades
- Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems
- Network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems
- Participate in the network team that handles day-to-day management of email security and end user cyber awareness training
- Manage and maintain a large wireless infrastructure with other network team members
- Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure high-quality support services to end users
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network
- Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
- Other duties as assigned
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
- Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members
The position of Network Support Specialist requires excellent problem-solving skills, and knowledge of administering and maintaining all the relevant technologies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of network administration experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Proficient in managing and configuring network devices, with a strong emphasis on Cisco products.
- Experience with managing firewalls and understanding of security best practices.
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot Cisco Call Manager and related VoIP services.
- Familiarity with managing and monitoring network circuits.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and possess exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with server management and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of IP infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Cisco, Extreme, or Barracuda hardware experience is highly preferred.
