Job Summary
Scope of work/Job Description:
The server Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for conducting infrastructure activities and second level of support along with managing third level of support for client’s entire collection of hardware, software, data centres, facilities and related equipment used to develop, test, operate, monitor, manage and/or support enterprise technology services. In addition, the Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the upkeep of data centres and
archives and contributing to business continuity related to infrastructure.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and other servers, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and adherence to best practices for a hybrid environment
- Assist with infrastructure solution design and integration in alignment with the strategic plans .
- Take ownership of monitoring the ticketing system, actively resolving infrastructure-related tickets raised by users or internal IT teams, and ensuring swift resolution of critical issues to maintain operational excellence
- Conduct regular updates, upgrades, and maintenance for software, servers, storage under the guidance of senior team members.
- Focus on daily operations by proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to hybrid infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption across on-premise and Azure environments.
- Monitor the ticketing system to prioritize, address, and resolve tickets raised by users or other teams, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution in alignment with service level agreements.
- Identify capacity needs of client’s core infrastructure (primary server and desktop hardware, storage, networking, firewalls, intrusion detection, databases, virtual infrastructure, and operating systems) through thorough planning, installation, setup, support and documentation of infrastructure systems
- Implement all infrastructure activities (related to databases and systems) as per the set policies and procedures taking into consideration best practices and provide robust and comprehensive infrastructure support
- Update and maintain the overall infrastructure in line with the organisational needs and best practices, which includes conducting upgrades and maintenance for software, servers, storages, and all infrastructure component inventory
- Upkeep all primary, secondary, and redundant data centres in addition to maintaining the electronic archives and ensuring the availability and readiness of alternative work sites
- Participate in projects related to infrastructure activities and ensure its alignment and integration with set requirements and standards
- Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, server farm and review its functionality to ensure optimal performance which includes troubleshooting in WAN, LAN, Firewall, VPN and communication systems
- Support in developing and implementing change management processes and
procedures tailored to the infrastructure in place
- Provide data and reports to the Service Delivery team and recommend strategic improvements in order to support in planning, decision making and continuous improvement of infrastructure services
- Identify and support the management of risks associated with infrastructure activities (in coordination with the Enterprise Risk Management teams)
- Implement and manage robust backup solutions and disaster recovery plans for both on-premises and cloud environments to ensure business continuity. Support the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans related to infrastructure in coordination with the Business Continuity Management Team.
- Work closely with colleagues in the Enterprise Technology and Cyber function and the various departments within client to ensure appropriate support and
collaboration exit to achieve the organisation objectives

performance issues, threats, or anomalies in real time.

Minimum Experience Level
