Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive testing, installation, and debugging of security technologies, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft E5 license and Azure-specific security products (e.g., Intune, EDR Conditional Access, Azure Bastion, IPS, defender of cloud) to ensure their effectiveness in mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Deploy and configure Microsoft/Azure-native security solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Integrate Azure security products into the organization’s environment, including applications, databases, networks, and endpoints, to enhance overall security posture.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to Azure security technologies, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Deliver Microsoft/Azure-centered security solutions on time and within budget, meeting the organization’s stringent security requirements and objectives.
- Document deployment procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for Microsoft/Azure security products to serve as reference and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Stay updated on the latest Azure security services, security best practices, and industry compliance standards to continuously improve the organization’s cloud security posture.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience operating independently within Microsoft Azure Cloud environments, including proficiency in Azure-native security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Purview) and the ability to design, build, and manage Azure Cloud security architectures.
- Strong background in network security, data security, code security, host, and container security.
- Proven experience in testing, deploying, integrating, debugging, and delivering security technology products across various domains within an Azure-focused ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of security systems and technologies including Application Security (WAF, App Gateway), Data Security (Azure Information Protection), Compliance (Azure Policy, Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager), System Security (Azure Security Baselines), Network Security (NSGs, Azure Firewall), Terminal Security (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint), and Database Security (Azure SQL Database security features).
- Familiarity with security standards, protocols, and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, PCI DSS, ISO 27001) and their application within Azure environments.
- Experience with security testing tools and methodologies, including Azure-specific security scanning and monitoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to address complex Azure security challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams and present complex Azure security findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a plus.
