The Security Architect is responsible for designing, building, and implementing enterprise-class security systems and solutions. This role involves understanding complex technical issues, securing enterprise information, protecting critical systems, and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. The Cyber Security Architect must collaborate with other IT teams and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure design and integration of systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security architecture and frameworks.
- Define security requirements and controls for various systems and applications.
- Evaluate and select security products, tools, and services.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Maintain security documentation and architecture diagrams.
- Work closely with IT, DevOps, and development teams to ensure security is integrated into cloud deployments and operations.
- Provide guidance and best practices for secure cloud architecture and design.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security architecture and design.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Proactively recommend improvements to enhance cloud security posture.
- Participate in the development of cloud security strategies and roadmaps.
Qualification and Job Specific Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT roles, with at least 3 years in a security architecture position.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- In-depth knowledge of network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection in cloud settings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
