The Vice President for IT leads and manages all the IT Projects and computer systems within the company. This role is responsible for creating IT policy and strategy, implementing infrastructure and leveraging technology to help the organization achieve its goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Lead IT initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness, service quality, and business development.
- Create a comprehensive plan outlining the digital transformation strategy, goals, timelines, and key milestones aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure digital transformation efforts are closely integrated with the company's strategic goals, enhancing operational efficiency and customer engagement.
- Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations. Oversee the implementation of security measures and incident response plans.
- Advise senior management on emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to enhance business performance.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems. Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Lead and manage IT projects from conception through deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ensure proper management of external vendors and service providers to ensure the best value and service. Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, manage vendor SLAs.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and practices. Monitor IT expenditure and financial performance against budget.
- Collaborate with the Business Heads and provide IT solutions to enhance digital touchpoints and customer interfaces to provide a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital transformation efforts. Provide regular updates to the executive team on the status and impact of digital initiatives.
- Stay abreast of new technological developments and trends to drive innovation. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT service delivery and efficiency. Lead the adoption of new digital technologies, ensuring they are integrated effectively into existing processes and systems.
- Lead the cultural shift towards a digital-first mindset across the organization, fostering openness to innovation and new ways of working. Address and mitigate resistance to change by involving stakeholders and demonstrating the benefits of digital transformation.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital transformation, including cybersecurity threats and data privacy concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Post Graduate Certification related Computer Science, IT or Project Management
- 15 Years of progressive experience in IT management, digital transformation, automation or any related industry, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), project lifecycle to plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, manage project timelines and budgets, stakeholder communication, resource allocation.
