Job Title: IT Governance Lead
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Governance Lead to oversee the development and implementation of IT governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and IT policies that support strategic initiatives and drive operational excellence. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in IT governance, preferably within a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm, who is well-versed in the unique challenges of the government and public sector.
Responsibilities:
Governance Framework Development:
- Develop and implement IT governance frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Create and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards that comply with industry regulations and best practices.
- Oversee IT compliance activities, including audits, assessments, and certifications.
RFP and SOW Management:
- Prepare comprehensive Request for Proposals (RFPs) that outline project requirements, evaluation criteria, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly define project scope, objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
IT Policy Development:
- Design and implement IT policies that govern data management, security, access controls, and other critical areas.
- Ensure that IT policies are regularly updated to reflect changes in technology, regulations, and business needs.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on IT policy adherence and compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with senior management, business leaders, and technology teams to ensure IT governance initiatives align with organizational goals.
- Communicate governance strategies and policies clearly to all stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular reporting and updates.
Consulting Experience:
- Leverage experience gained at a Big 4 accounting firm or top-tier consulting firm to apply best practices in IT governance.
- Understand the regulatory environment and compliance requirements for government and public sector organizations.
- Bring a consultative approach to governance, helping clients navigate complex IT challenges.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in IT governance, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior management role.
- Experience in preparing RFPs, SOWs, and IT policies.
- Experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm or top-tier consulting firm is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical capability and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and compliance standards.
