We are looking for Security Head of Governance in Abu Dhabi and below is the job description: -
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Responsibilities:
- Governance Framework Development - Develop and implement a comprehensive security governance framework that aligns with international standards and organizational objectives, ensuring robust protection of assets and information.
- Policy and Procedure Management-Establish, review, and update security policies and procedures in accordance with global best practices and regulatory requirements, including those relevant to platforms similar to UAE’s government platform.
- Risk Assessment and Management-Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps, ensuring proactive measures are in place to protect the organization’s assets.
- Incident Response and Management-Oversee the development and execution of incident response plans, including coordination of responses to security breaches and incidents, and ensuring swift recovery and minimal impact.
- Compliance Oversight-Ensure compliance with international security regulations and standards, including data protection laws, cybersecurity regulations, and industry-specific requirements.
- Security Program Management-Manage and enhance the organization’s security programs, including physical, information, and cybersecurity initiatives, to safeguard assets and maintain operational integrity.
- Training and Awareness-Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees, ensuring they understand their role in maintaining security and compliance.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management-Assess and manage the security posture of third-party vendors and partners, ensuring they adhere to security requirements and standards relevant to the organization’s operations.
- Technology Integration-Oversee the integration and management of security technologies and platforms similar to UAE’s government platform, ensuring they are effectively deployed to enhance security and governance.
- Strategic Advisory-Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on security governance issues, emerging threats, and best practices to ensure informed decision-making and effective risk management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- More than 15 years of experience in security governance, with a proven track record in international companies and diverse operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing security governance across multiple regions, with the ability to adapt strategies to different international markets and regulatory environments.
- Experience with security aspects of government and enterprise software platforms similar to UAE’s, including understanding their security requirements and integration needs.
- Strong technical knowledge of security technologies and platforms, particularly those used in government and enterprise environments.
Professional Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are highly desirable.
