Contract Duration: 1 Year
Responsibilities:
- Governance Framework Development-Design and implement a robust security governance framework that aligns with organizational objectives and international best practices, ensuring comprehensive protection of assets and information.
- Policy Creation and Enforcement-Develop, review, and enforce security policies and procedures that comply with global standards and regulatory requirements, including those applicable to platforms similar to UAE’s government platform.
- Risk Management-Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, implementing effective mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Incident Response Oversight-Manage the creation and execution of incident response plans, coordinating responses to security incidents and ensuring timely recovery with minimal disruption.
- Compliance Management-Ensure adherence to international security regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, including data protection and cybersecurity laws relevant to the organization’s operations.
- Security Program Management-Oversee the implementation and enhancement of security programs, including physical, information, and cybersecurity initiatives, to protect organizational assets and ensure operational integrity.
- Training and Awareness Programs-Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs to employees, ensuring they understand their roles in maintaining security and compliance.
- Vendor and Third-Party Security-Assess and manage the security posture of third-party vendors and partners, ensuring they meet security requirements and adhere to organizational standards.
- Technology Integration-Oversee the integration and management of security technologies and platforms similar to UAE’s government platform, ensuring their effective deployment and utilization.
- Strategic Advisory-Provide expert advice and recommendations to senior management on security governance issues, emerging threats, and best practices to support informed decision-making and effective risk management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree or advanced certification is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in security governance, with a proven track record in international companies and diverse operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing security governance across various regions, with the ability to adapt strategies to different international markets and regulatory environments.
- Experience with security aspects of government and enterprise software platforms similar to UAE’s, including knowledge of their security requirements and integration needs.
- Strong technical knowledge of security technologies and platforms, particularly those used in government and enterprise settings.
- Experience in evaluating and managing the security posture of third-party vendors and partners, ensuring adherence to security standards and requirements.
Professional Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are highly desirable.
