Role Summary :
A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure within an organization. This role requires a strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Configure, test, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Troubleshoot network problems and implement solutions to restore network functionality.
- Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
- Implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Document network configurations and procedures.
Requirements :
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model).
- Experience with network hardware and software.
- Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their networking services.
- Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with network automation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years of working experience in Network Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
