Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fresher Network and Security Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of networking concepts and a keen interest in cybersecurity. This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates who are eager to start their career in network and security engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Security Monitoring: Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network and security issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, security protocols, and procedures.
- Support: Provide technical support for network-related issues, working closely with other IT team members.
- Updates: Assist in the implementation of security patches, updates, and upgrades to network devices and systems.
- Compliance: Ensure that all network and security measures comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in networking and cybersecurity, and pursue relevant certifications.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Security, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network security principles.
- Skills: Familiarity with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Certifications: Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco’s CCNA are a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Internship or academic project experience in networking or security is advantageous.
