Vendor Relationship Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Vendor Relationship Manager. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to developing and maintaining relationships with vendors to support our company's objectives and growth. The ideal candidate will have a knack for networking, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and a proven track record of successful vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for vendor partnerships and alliances.
Identify potential vendor partnership opportunities and areas for collaboration.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform vendor partnership strategies.
Negotiate vendor partnership agreements and contracts.
Manage and nurture ongoing vendor relationships.
Serve as the primary contact for vendors, developing relationships at all organizational levels, including channel teams, distribution, maintenance and support, product, and sales.
Train and enable internal teams, ensuring certifications or accreditations are maintained.
Work closely with sales teams to coordinate vendor meetings.
Conduct annual and quarterly business planning and review meetings with vendors.
Track and report on the performance and ROI of vendor partnerships.
Identify and resolve challenges and issues in vendor partnerships.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on vendor partnership initiatives.
Stay updated with industry trends and developments to inform vendor strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prior experience in a similar role with a strong track record of success in building strategic vendor partnerships.
Experience working with senior stakeholders to develop win-win solutions.
Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
