Senior Network & Security Engineer
- Installing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting various different network architecture.
- Designing and implementing business solutions using common network equipment.
- Monitoring and diagnosing performance issues.
- Configure and manage Cisco ACI fabric.
- Configure and manage Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, firewalls to maintain strong network security and performance.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of our data and systems.
- Design, implement and monitor secure, scalable network architectures that reduce risks and improve network performance, this includes both LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi environments.
- Designing, writing and updating both system documentation and network diagrams.
- Creating and implementing network security measures/mitigations as recommended.
- Manage Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet routing and switching systems to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity across Data Center & all branches/back offices.
- Dealing with network and security support issues reported on day to day basis.
- Providing network status reports.
- Configure & manage monitoring solutions SolarWinds, Riverbed.
- Deploy and maintain F5 & Citrix load balancers to support application delivery and enhance network security.
- Regularly perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement remediation measures.
- Lead network upgrades and new deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Implement micro-segmentation strategies to limit lateral movement within the network and improve overall security.
- Maintain detailed records of network configurations, security policies, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Work closely with IT operations, security team and other departments to integrate security measures/mitigation into all parts of the organization.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve escalated support cases efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies related to information security, and report incidents promptly to senior management.
Educational Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, information technology or equivalent.
Also below Industry certifications:
- CCNP Routing & Switching, Security & Data Center.
- PCNSE.
- Fortinet NSE.
- CCIE Routing/Switching, Security & Data Center (Preferred).
Experience:
7-10 years of hands-on experience in network & security engineering, with expertise in ACI, Palo Alto, Fortinet & Cisco technologies, routing/switching, security, data center and Wi-Fi environments.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of network security principles, including experience with F5 load balancers, ASM/WAF, APM, GTM, ACI, Palo Alto, Fortinet & Cisco solutions.
Strong ability to explain technical concepts with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially when it comes to solving complex network issues.
