Role Overview (MENA)
The Director of Technology Operations - MENA is a senior regional leadership role, accountable for technology operations, service delivery, and operational excellence across the Middle East and North Africa. The role supports companys' rapidly growing MENA client base—particularly regulated alternative investment firms—while aligning with global standards, platforms, and governance defined by the CTO organization.
Regional Scope & Accountability
- Own day-to-day technology operations for the MENA region, including UAE-based clients and regional expansions
- Act as the senior operational authority for MENA client service delivery, escalations, and service transitions
- Ensure regional operations align with local regulatory expectations (e.g., DIFC, ADGM) and client due‑diligence requirements
- Serve as the primary regional counterpart to global Technology, Cybersecurity, and Service Delivery leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop regional engineering, service delivery, and service transition resources supporting MENA clients
- Oversee delivery of managed IT services, cloud platforms, identity, endpoint, and collaboration services across the region
- Ensure consistent adoption of company platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune) within the region
- Partner with Cybersecurity leadership to align regional operational controls with defensive and offensive cyber services
- Drive operational maturity, automation, and service consistency while respecting regional client nuances
- Support regional growth initiatives, including new client onboarding, office launches, and M&A integrations
Success Metrics (First 6-12 Months)
- Stable, high-quality service delivery for all MENA clients with measurable improvements in SLAs and CSAT
- Successful onboarding and transition of new regional clients and regulated entities
- Clear regional operational reporting and risk visibility provided to executive leadership
- Strong alignment between regional operations and global company standards
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology operations or IT service delivery, with regional leadership responsibility
- Strong background supporting financial services or other highly regulated environments
- Deep understanding of cloud, identity, endpoint, and collaboration platforms—Microsoft ecosystem preferred
- Proven ability to manage senior client stakeholders and regional delivery teams
- Experience operating in the Middle East or comparable international markets
Preferred / Differentiating Experience
- Prior leadership experience in the GCC or broader MENA region
- Exposure to regulatory and investor due‑diligence processes (DDQs, audits)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity service delivery models and governance
- ITIL or service‑management framework experience
Reporting & Collaboration
This role reports into the CTO organization and works closely with the Managing Director EMEA, Cybersecurity leadership, Sales, Client Experience, and Global Service Delivery teams. The Director of Technology Operations - MENA is the senior operational voice for the region.
