Job Purpose:
To assist in implementing the Ethics and Compliance Programme and to promote a culture of compliance.
Key Result Areas:
1. Support in implementing compliance policies and procedures, delivering results within the timeframe, and ensuring the quality standard of
documents.
2. Develop Compliance Polices, Procedures and Regulatory Registers and update them periodically to meet ethics and compliance obligations
that may affect the business across all areas.
3. Track risk assessments and conduct due diligence activities for new and existing business associates to ensure the achievement of key metrics.
4. Assist in investigating breaches of EKFC’s Compliance Programme and in maintaining records of investigations, including but not limited to
findings, recommendations given, and actions are taken.
5. Assist in implementing comprehensive COI and G&H management policies and processes, conduct regular risk assessments, and ensure
effective disclosure, reporting, and remediation, fostering a transparent and ethical business..
6. Assist in implementing, and managing Speak-Up Channel policy, aligned with organizational strategy and compliance standards, to foster a
culture of transparency and integrity, ensuring that all reports are investigated and addressed within set timelines, while providing periodic
updates to Senior Manager-ECP.
7. Develop and deliver creative and engaging compliance training and communication to increase awareness of employees in relation to their
relevant compliance obligations that affect their work as well as for onboarding sessions for new joiners and annual compliance event.
8. Maintain adequate records of matter management, risk assessments, due diligence, investigations, action taken, communications and
training to ensure reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.
9. Fully engage with stakeholders and manage the appropriate implementation of the Company’s Compliance Programme.
10. Assist in developing, monitoring and reporting critical metrics to ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed promptly.
Critical focus areas:
1. Compliance Risk Assessment: Hands-on experience conducting compliance risk assessments (methodology, risk identification, scoring, risk registers, mitigation plans, reporting).
2. Compliance Audit / Monitoring & Testing: Exposure to designing or executing compliance audits, monitoring programs, and control testing, including follow-up and closure of actions.
3. Data Privacy Advisory: Practical ability to advise business teams on privacy requirements, safeguards, and compliant handling of personal data in day-to-day operations.
4. Privacy Laws & Principles: Working knowledge of GDPR concepts and/or UAE PDPL requirements (lawful basis, data subject rights, retention, transfers, vendor privacy).
5. Ethics & Compliance Framework: Understanding of core E&C program elements (Code of Conduct, conflicts of interest, gifts & hospitality, third-party due diligence, speak-up/anti-retaliation, etc.).
Education Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a background in regulatory affairs ethics and compliance.
• Qualification from a body associated with Compliance, such as the International Compliance Association (ICA), the Society of Corporate
Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), or equivalent.
Work Experience:
• Minimum 6 years working in ethics and compliance with solid exposure to corporate compliance, including the FCPA/UK Bribery Act,
preferably in a multinational environment.
