Job Overview
As a Senior IT Systems Administrator - IT Networks, you will own the reliability, security, and performance of IHLs enterprise network across clinics, labs, offices, datacenters, and cloud. Combining hands-on depth with strategic planning, you will deliver end-to-end network services—LAN/WAN, SD-WAN/VPN, Wi-Fi, NAC, firewalls, and DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)—and integrate cloud networking where required. You will drive segmentation and Zero Trust, monitor and optimize capacity and uptime, and enforce change, incident, and service management practices so critical healthcare systems remain available and protected. Experience in healthcare networking is preferred, with a strong grasp of clinical connectivity, medical device onboarding, and compliance obligations in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure secure, reliable, high-performance network services across all IHL locations covering LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN/VPN, firewalls, and DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM).
- Provide on-site, remote, and telephone support for network-related incidents and requests in accordance with policies.
- Develop and maintain L2/L3 network diagrams, runbooks, and deployment/repair procedures.
- Design and implement network segmentation and Zero Trust models for clinical, research, corporate, and vendor environments.
- Implement and manage NAC / 802.1X for wired and wireless authentication, device posture checks, and onboarding including medical/IoT devices.
- Administer enterprise firewalls, NAT, site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, and SD-WAN overlays.
- Optimize enterprise Wi-Fi (RF planning, roaming, steering, guest networks, captive portals).
- Own DDI services — IP address management, DHCP scopes, DNS records — with clean documentation.
- Configure and support Azure / AWS networking, hybrid connectivity, and SaaS integrations.
- Operate network monitoring & observability tools; define SLOs, alerts, capacity planning and trend analysis.
- Lead L2/L3 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, and preventative actions.
- Maintain configuration backups, baselines, templates, and perform regular reviews of firewall/NAC/WLC/LB configs.
- Enforce secure baselines and manage patching/firmware updates for infrastructure devices.
- Integrate network telemetry with SIEM and support relevant alerting/use cases.
- Maintain network governance documentation, SOPs, and support access control lifecycle (joiner-mover-leaver).
- Support internal/external audits and provide evidence for ISO 27001/27701, ISO 20000, ISO 15189, ADHICS v2 compliance.
- Participate in change, release, incident processes; support resiliency and DR testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ITSM tickets across requests, incidents, and problems.
- Install, configure, and administer switches, routers, firewalls, WLCs, load balancers.
- Liaise with ISPs and vendors for carrier issues, RMA/warranty cases.
- Physically inspect, receive, and validate equipment deliveries against POs.
- Provide regular operational, availability, capacity, and incident reports.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (SD-WAN, NAC, Wi-Fi, monitoring/observability) and contribute to network roadmap.
- Meet project deadlines and proactively escalate risks to Line Manager.

- Support audit requirements and documentation (ISO frameworks, ADHICS).
- Maintain accurate network access and change records.
- Follow ITIL-aligned incident, change, and release management practices.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in IT networks administration (healthcare preferred).
- Experience with healthcare IT systems and medical device networking is beneficial.
