Role Purpose
The Director – Digital Transformation & IT is responsible for driving the organization’s digital strategy, overseeing the implementation and management of enterprise applications, and ensuring alignment of IT capabilities with business objectives. This role provides leadership in technology innovation, enterprise architecture, IT service delivery, and data-driven transformation.
The Director – Digital Transformation & IT plays a key role in modernizing business operations, enhancing customer and employee experience, and enabling sustainable growth through innovative and scalable digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation Strategy
• Lead the design and execution of digital transformation programs across business units.
• Drive innovation through adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, RPA, and data analytics.
• Ensure alignment of digital initiatives with corporate strategy, sustainability goals, and customer experience objectives.
• Promote a culture of digital-first thinking and continuous improvement within the organization.
Enterprise Applications & Technology Management
• Oversee implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise platforms such as Salesforce Service & Marketing Cloud, Maximo (CAFM), Genesys (Contact Centre), Farvision (ERP/Strata), Oracle Fusion, Qualtrics, Sprinklr, and other strategic systems.
• Ensure platforms are configured to deliver business value, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.
• Establish enterprise architecture principles to ensure scalability, security, and interoperability of systems.
• Monitor system performance, manage upgrades, and ensure vendor SLAs and contracts are met.
IT Service Delivery & Governance
• Provide leadership for IT service management, infrastructure, and application support functions.
• Ensure IT services meet agreed service levels and business expectations.
• Implement governance frameworks, IT policies, and cybersecurity practices to safeguard business operations.
• Drive cost optimization, budget management, and IT portfolio oversight (approx. AED 35M).
Data & Analytics
• Lead data governance, master data management, and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security across enterprise systems.
• Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making through dashboards, KPIs, and predictive analytics.
• Partner with business units to identify AI and analytics use cases that enhance productivity and service delivery.
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring IT and digital strategies support business growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across DHCM and DHRE to deliver enterprise-wide transformation.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providers.
• Represent the IT function in steering committees, executive forums, and cross-functional programs.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing IT and digital transformation teams.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and agile working culture.
• Build organizational capability in emerging technologies and digital competencies.
• Champion continuous professional development and knowledge sharing within the IT department.
What we’re looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 14+ years of progressive experience in IT and digital transformation.
• Demonstrated leadership in enterprise applications, IT strategy, and large-scale technology programs.
• Proven expertise in managing multi-platform enterprise ecosystems (Salesforce, Maximo, Oracle Fusion, Genesys, ERP systems, analytics platforms).
• Experience in budget and vendor management for large-scale IT portfolios.
• Strong understanding of digital transformation strategies and enterprise architecture.
• Expertise in data management, analytics, and enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and industry best practices.
• Awareness of emerging technology trends.
