We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of IT to lead and scale our IT operations across multiple office locations. Based in Dubai, you will oversee infrastructure, security, support, compliance, and strategic IT initiatives for our Payments Gateway platform, which operates in a high-availability, security-critical environment. You’ll ensure that internal IT systems and tools enable seamless collaboration and business continuity for teams located in Limassol and Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Management
- Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Plan and manage the IT infrastructure and operations budget.
- Evaluate, procure, and implement hardware, software, and internal systems to support business needs.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure IT systems comply with PCI DSS, GDPR, and internal security policies.
- Work closely with security and DevOps teams to manage access controls, network security, and incident response.
- Support internal and external audits, and manage IT risk assessments and mitigation plans.
Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee office network infrastructure, endpoint security, firewalls, VPNs, and backup systems.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets including procurement, configuration, and decommissioning.
- Lead vendor and service provider relationships for IT hardware, software, and connectivity.
Support & Enablement
- Manage the internal IT helpdesk and ensure high-quality support for employees in both Cyprus and Dubai.
- Define and implement SLAs and best practices for user onboarding, offboarding, and support processes.
- Ensure proper tracking of licenses, usage, and renewals for software and SaaS platforms.
Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Compliance to align infrastructure and security strategies.
- Work with HR and Finance on identity lifecycle, access control, and employee provisioning.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record managing multi-site IT infrastructure and internal support systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, endpoint security, and VPNs.
- Experience with PCI DSS, GDPR, and other security or data privacy frameworks.
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Atlassian, Salesforce, and identity management systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands-on mindset.
