We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Information Security Trainee to join our Dubai office for a 3-month structured internship. This program offers you practical exposure to the security protocols, compliance frameworks, and threat mitigation strategies that protect business operations and sensitive data. You will work alongside experienced security professionals and gain insights into modern InfoSec practices and regulatory frameworks applicable in the UAE and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analysing security incidents and vulnerabilities
- Support implementation of access controls, endpoint protection, and user awareness protocols
- Help perform internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Collaborate in the documentation and development of security policies and procedures
- Assist with data classification, DLP policies, and backup integrity checks
- Gain exposure to tools such as SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, and encryption solutions
- Learn about local and international data protection laws and InfoSec compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR)
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and security fundamentals
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments and command-line utilities
- Interest in compliance, risk management, and security best practices
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
- Knowledge of tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, or Splunk is a plus
