About The Role
We seek a passionate and dynamic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity to join our faculty. This role involves engaging teaching, hands-on training, and impactful research in cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity with at least three years of experience in teaching or industry roles, along with expertise in cybersecurity tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching: Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions in digital forensics, ethical hacking, network security, and related topics.
- Content Development: Enhance and update course content to reflect industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
- Student Mentorship: Guide students academically and professionally, encouraging participation in competitions and industry events.
- Research: Conduct and publish research in cybersecurity, collaborating with academia and industry.
- Community Engagement: Foster industry partnerships, organize workshops, and contribute to the broader cybersecurity community.
- Collaboration: Work with faculty and industry partners to integrate real-world cybersecurity challenges into education and research.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree: PhD degree in Cyber security
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity teaching or industry roles with hands-on expertise in cybersecurity tools.
- Expertise in Cybersecurity Domains: Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, Network Security, Malware Analysis, Incident Response, Cloud Security, Risk Management, Cryptography, Penetration Testing, Security Operations, Security Awareness.
- Certifications (Highly Preferred): CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, OSCP, CCNA Security, or equivalent.
- Research & Industry Collaboration (Highly Preferred): Published research in cybersecurity and experience working with industry partners to enhance academic programs.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.
- Experience integrating cybersecurity tools into the curriculum.
- Engagement in hackathons, competitions, and student initiatives.
- Ability to mentor diverse student groups effectively.
