Job Description: Technical Consultant & Project Coordinator - Cybersecurity
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Consultant & Project Coordinator specializing in cybersecurity to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in email security, firewalls, endpoint security, and network security, combined with proven project coordination skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage projects, provide technical expertise to clients, and contribute to the overall success of our cybersecurity practice.
Responsibilities
- Technical Consulting:
- Provide expert-level consulting and support to clients on cybersecurity solutions, including email security, firewall management, endpoint protection, and network security.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analysis, identify risks, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions based on client needs and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cybersecurity infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and training to clients.
- Project Coordination:
- Manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate project activities with internal teams and external vendors.
- Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report on project status.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project documentation and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of internal cybersecurity best practices and procedures.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations and proposal development.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on cybersecurity initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on email security, firewall management, endpoint protection, and network security.
- Proven experience in project coordination and management.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of various cybersecurity technologies and platforms (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint security software, email security gateways).
- Experience with security assessment and vulnerability analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are preferred.
