Role Overview:
As the IT Manager, you will oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring its alignment with business objectives for up to 3000 users globally. This critical role entails planning, coordinating, and directing IT-related activities, managing transformation projects, and leading the IT team to deliver reliable and efficient technology solutions. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and scalability of IT systems while promoting innovation and digital transformation within the organization.
What the role entails:
- Plan, deploy, and maintain IT systems, networks, and applications to meet organizational needs, providing support for business case development related to the technology landscape.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and upgrading of hardware and software.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.
- Supervise and mentor IT staff, assigning tasks and ensuring performance standards are met.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members in alignment with evolving technology requirements.
- Foster collaboration between IT and other departments to ensure effective communication.
- Implement and manage IT security protocols to protect organizational assets and data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Lead IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Liaise with vendors and external partners for project execution.
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal allocation of resources.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to drive business innovation.
- Oversee the IT helpdesk to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues.
- Provide second-level support for complex problems or escalations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Experience with IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Preferred Certifications: ITIL, PMP, or Prince2, CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or AWS certifications
