Synopsis
Reporting to the lead Cybersecurity Architect within the Digital Technology and Innovation department, this Cybersecurity Architect is a technical architecture role responsible for the creation, maintenance and driving security architecture and technology roadmaps within the scope of business requirements specified in the overarching security strategy. Partnering with the security programs to plan and drive security roadmap implementation in terms of technology and its capabilities. With responsibility for the architecture of the technology and providing direction and guidance for the security programs on how to utilize the technology and its capabilities. To architect and design security solutions for applications or systems, and/or provide expertise and consulting to the project teams on security controls needed and ensure that the processes are fit for their purpose.
Accountabilities
- Providing guidance on security architecture best practices and standards, conducting trend analysis and developing future-state security architectures
- Create and manage Enterprise Security Standards, Design Patterns, Reference Architectures, Sub-Domain Strategies and Roadmaps
- Analyse and develop security requirements for networks, systems and solutions to security architect lead.
- Assess security requirements by evaluating business, IT and Security strategies.
- Assess technology solutions in line with the technology strategy.
- Undertake technical proof of concept activities in line with the technology strategy and emerging threat mitigation.
- Undertake responsibility of performing threat modelling for networks, systems and solutions.
- Undertake responsibility of managing the enterprise architecture repositories pertaining to security.
- Be the technical security subject matter expert across the cybersecurity domain.
- Work closely with service providers to ensure technology solutions meet customer requirements.
- Ensure the currency of all security technologies and security posture is maintained.
- Ability to justify value / business case for security services solutions.
Education & Experience
- 5 to 7 years of security architecture experience for security services solutions
- Wide experience in enterprise security architecture domains, with a deep experience in at least one domain
- Proven success architecting security solutions for large enterprise.
- Elaborate and advise in the architecture of information security projects.
- Knowledge of industry best practice standards pertaining to Cyber Security, risk management and data privacy
- Ability to manage execution of projects by security services providers and internal teams.
- Good administrative skills with effectiveness in delivering modules and driving POCs.
- Very good written and oral communication skills required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Cybersecurity.
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent industry experience.
- Industry and domain certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Assurance Professional (GIAC), SABSA (SCP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or equivalent.
