Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure to meet organizational demands.
Manage on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments, including AWS, Azure, and private clouds.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
Provide guidance on best practices for infrastructure management and ensure continuous skills development within the team.

Project Management:

Lead infrastructure-related projects, from inception through execution and delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including applications, security, and support, to ensure infrastructure alignment with business needs.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure the security of IT infrastructure by implementing appropriate cybersecurity measures, monitoring for threats, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management activities to safeguard IT systems.

Vendor and Contract Management:

Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and services.
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring service levels are met or exceeded.

Budgeting and Cost Optimization:

Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective solutions.
Explore opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency through innovation, automation, and cloud services.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity by minimizing downtime and data loss in case of emergencies.
Perform regular testing and updates to DR plans based on changing business needs.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Implement systems and tools to monitor the performance of the IT infrastructure, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure uptime, performance metrics, and SLAs are tracked and reported accurately.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with server, network, storage, and cloud technologies.
Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructures.

Security and Compliance:

Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).

Certifications (Preferred):

ITIL, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect.
